Manfeild Mines a New Groove Hosting Matariki Concert
A Manawatū venue is turning up the volume on its versatility.
Manfeild may be synonymous with revving engines and agricultural expos, but it will be testing wider ambitions when it hosts a music festival on Matariki weekend.
Kiwi Grooves, a one-day NZ music experience headlined by Katchafire and Sons of Zion, is being held in the Manfeild stadium on June 21.
Manfeild Park board member Hamish Waugh said they were “very, very excited” for Kiwi Grooves to come to town.
While Manfeild had a solid reputation as motorsport venue, it also had a large green space and stadium, he said.
